The owner identified this dog as a silver fawn - I would call him a silver blue fawn

 I'm not sure either of these is a true Chinchilla - but both were identified as "silver fawns" by their owners. The effects of this gene are tough to get a handle on. I am currently inclined to consider that the Chinchilla gene is responsible for the lighter, "cooler" colors of fawn and both of these appear to be too "warm" in shade.

 
This may not be a true Chinchilla either - but she has more of the light, silvery look to her color
